Business Development Associate
Casava is seeking a Sales Associate who will support the Head of Sales in driving revenue growth across all sales channels, including partnerships, corporate clients, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) segments.
The role focuses on lead generation, client engagement, sales conversion, and customer retention, while supporting the execution of the company’s overall sales strategy.
The ideal candidate is proactive, target-driven, and capable of identifying
opportunities across multiple industries and sectors. The candidate must have a
demonstrable track record of consistently delivering revenue targets through
structured sales strategy, disciplined execution, and strong client relationship
management.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for;
1. Lead Generation & Market Expansion
- Identify and generate new sales leads across key sectors and industries.
- Conduct market research to uncover new corporate distribution channels and Partnerships.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential business sectors and industries (e.g.,Financial Institutions, SMEs, MFB’s, Healthcare, Education, Logistics, Tech, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Develop structured go-to-market strategies by industry vertical.
- Generate qualified leads through direct outreach, market intelligence, industry networks, and digital channels.
2. Conversion & Deal Closure
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting to negotiation and contract closure.
Develop tailored insurance solutions aligned with client risk profiles.
Drive disciplined follow-through and shorten sales cycles through structured engagement.
3. Customer Retention & Portfolio Growth
- Ensure strong post-sale engagement and account management oversight.
Drive renewal rates, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
Monitor portfolio performance and proactively address churn risks.
4. Sales Operations & Performance Management
- Implement structured pipeline tracking and CRM discipline.
Provide regular sales performance updates and insights.
Track conversion ratios, cost of acquisition, lifetime value, and retention metrics
Provide regular performance insights and improvement recommendations to leadership.
5. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning
- Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to enhance value proposition and pricing competitiveness.
